Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder very common in one among 10 women of their reproductive age. Women with PCOS may have enlarged ovaries that contain small collections of fluid called follicles located in each ovary as seen during an ultrasound exam. Women with PCOS may have irregular or prolonged menstrual periods.

As per Ayurveda, the wrong diet & lifestyle vitiates Tridoshas, mainly Vata (apan vayu) cause low circulation and low metabolic fire. These changes in the Artavavaha channels (Reproductive system) give rise to Imbalance in Hypothalamic- Pituitary – Ovarian Axis and Hormonal Imbalance mainly in Androgen, FSH, LH & Insulin level. This arrests Follicular growth and multiple immature follicles -Cysts are formed.
