Most Ayurveda’s believe that the cause of hair loss is due to mind and body structure. Hair fall is considered to be a problem of pitta dosha in Ayurveda and excess of Pitta dosha in the body is the chief cause of hair problems. Here are some Ayurvedic treatments that you can use to reduce our hair loss.
Hair Oil Massage: Massaging your scalp with coconut oil, almond oil or amla oil. Adding a few drops of rosemary essential oil for faster and better results. While applying it on your scalp put slight pressure with your fingertips. Repeat this process at least once every week.
Amla:Also known as Indian gooseberry is rich I vitamin C which compensates for the deficiency in the body that causes hair loss. Mix one tablespoon of amla pulp and lemon juice and apply it to your scalp. Leave it in your hair overnight, as it will completely soak into your scalp. In the morning wash it off with shampoo.
Fenugreek: Also known as methi. The seeds contain hormone antecedents that help in rebuilding your hair glands. The protein and narcotic acid that it contains helps in stimulating hair growth. If you plan to use this method, soak the seeds in water for the night and in the morning make a paste out of it. Apply that paste to your head and cover with a shower cap for best results. After 40 minutes, rinse your hair. Do this for a month. You should do this every morning for better results.
Onion Juice: Onions contain high sulfur content which helps in improving blood circulation. It also helps in killing germs. When you apply the onion juice make sure to blend it and strain it before applying. Massage the onion juice into your scalp and keep it in for 30 to 45 minutes. Finally, wash it off with shampoo. This should be done once or twice a week.
Aloe Vera: One of the oldest forms. It contains enzymes that allow you to have healthy growing hair. For this method, either aloe vera gel or juice will work. Apply it to your scalp and leave it in for a few hours. It is advised to do this three or four time in a week.
Licorice Root: This is sweeter than sugar, it is also called ‘lratti Madhuram’ (Double Sweet). Known botanically as Glycyrrhizin Glabra. It helps to open up your pores and soothe the scalp. While applying you should add one tablespoon of ground licorice root to one cup of milk with a quarter teaspoon of saffron. Apply this paste to the bald patch, it is advised to keep it overnight. Wash it in the morning. Follow this process once or twice in a week.
To solve your problem of hair loss, try some of these natural remedies. Also, following a proper diet will keep your hair healthy. So, eat green vegetables and fresh fruits as much as possible.
